Last night, I posted a video on my YouTube channel called ‘Real Life Makeup for the Real Girl’… and have received SUCH an amazing response from you all. If I am being honest, I was so nervous to post this video because I know I was SO all over the place and was jumping from topic topic, but I am so thankful that you all understood exactly what I was trying to say. Seriously, thank you guys!

As much as I love Social Media and all the positives that come with it… I do want to address some of the negatives as well. I know exactly what it feels like to scroll thought someone’s Instagram and feel like their life is absolutely PERFECT and your.. just isn’t. I know what it’s like to compare yourself to someone else, just by looking at their feed, and I really want to encourage you all to STOP.

For most influencers, Instagram is their portofolio, and ofcourse they only want to showcase their best moments because that is what the audience wants to see. Behind those photos are hours and hours of work that is not so glam, very stressful and boring – If you guys would like me to talk more about this in a future video, let me know.

I want to encourage you all to stop focusing on other people and spend all that energy focusing on yourself. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your life, figure out a way to change it. I promise, the less you worry about others and focus more on yourself, you will see your life change before your eyes!

You are all so, SO beautiful and have so much going for yourself, please don’t waste any part of your energy wanting to be like someone else. Instead, make a promise to be the best version of you – because there is no one else out there quiet like YOU <3

  1. Hi, I notice that you love the TheBalm Bahama Mama bronzer but I cannot find it anywhere. I believe Sephora doesn’t carry TheBalm anymore. I don’t want to shop online though. It’d be great if you could recommend something similar to the Bahama Mama bronzer. Thank you X
