I love sample sales so much! It is such a great way to score designer pieces at a fraction of the cost! I recently attended the Jimmy Choo sample sale and as expected it was INSANE. Large crowds and a huge inventory of shoes/accessories… the sale seemed almost too overwhelming to shop, but I did manage to find the most perfect pair of black pumps (originally about $600, I paid $200)Because I have shopped at sample sales in the past, I wanted to share my top 5 tips for shopping at a sample sale and actually finding GOOD stuff with you all. With these tips, I guarantee, you will find some amazing pieces to bring home with you at a crazy discounted price! 1) Stick to the basics
This is my #1 rule to shopping at a sample sale. Since sample sales can be extremely overwhelming, I love shopping for basics/pieces that I know I will have for a long time.

2) Arrive early…or really late.
I personally recommend going to sample sales as early as possible if you want to score the best of the best as the good stuff sells out the fastest. BUT, many sample sales will offer an additional discount on the last day/last few hours so keep that in mind as well.

3) ‘Preview’ previous sales
I highly recommend doing a quick google search of the past sample sales you are interested in attending, before actually going to the sale. This will give you an idea of what to expect, the price list and overall if it’s even worth your time!

4) Bring cash, leave everything else at home.
Bring your wallet/phone and leave everything else at home! Most sales will ask you to check your bag in, which means additional waiting time. In order to avoid waiting time, bring the bare minimum!

5) Go with a friend
This one is my favorite! I always love going to sample sales with at least one friend because 2 sets of eyes are better than one. My friends have found such amazing pieces for me in the past and vice versa so don’t forget to bring a friend along for the crazy ride!Hopefully these tips will help make your next sample sale experience a litttttle bit more pleasant! Although the tips mentioned above are listed to help you make the most out of a crazy sample sale, I do want to leave you off saying it is perfect OKAY to walk away empty handed from a sale. Don’t feel pressured into buying something just because it is discounted. I have walked away wayyy more times than actually buying something, which is why I LOVE my SS finds!
